MANHATTAN TO MONTAUK
150 MILES - APRIL 24, 2015
On April 24th, 2015 I will set out to run 150 miles from Manhattan to Montauk as part of a larger event. I've been nominated to run for Woman of the Year for the Long Island Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
For those of you who are not familiar with this LLS’ fundraising campaign… Each spring, in communities across the country, dynamic, passionate candidates engage in a 10 week spirited fundraising competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Man & Woman of the Year" titles by raising critically needed funds for blood cancer research. Candidates are truly relentless in their efforts in pursuit of the ultimate goal: A world without blood cancer. All candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year. Every dollar counts as one vote, and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes.
My goal is to raise $150,000.000.
I am committed to finding a cure for blood cancers and I ask for your support and donations as part of my endeavor to run 150 miles.
You can help in many ways. One way is to support my efforts by letting us provide you with your own fundraising website. You can set whatever goal you determine, i.e. $100, $250, $1,000, etc... Ask all your friends and family to make a small donation, promote on facebook, and all social media sites.
We would love to have 150 fundraising pages opened across the country.
Help me reach this goal with your support as...
... I run with my heart.
Please contact Meagan Doyle at Meagan.Doyle@lls.org to open your fundraising page.
Fundraising will be done from March 19, 2015 to May 28th, 2015. You can set up your page ahead of time.
